Harvard Business Review recently posted a piece on “Crafting the Job You Want”. Their instructions began with identifying your strengths, motives and passions and consider the ideas of how you are best engaged.
This “Self Strategic Planning” is an extremely helpful and critical exercise for creatives interested building their path and personally taking the reins on their career. Those who will succeed in the future work environment are those who understand, build and work their strengths and interests instead of waiting around for their organization to point them in the direction of what they want done.
Help your organization to engage you in your best abilities on your terms will raise your satisfaction and motivation and heighten the level of your work.
